Shelby Energy Cooperative requests that members supply various personal data when processing a transaction, such as name and address, credit-card information, e-mail address and telephone number.  We use this data only for the purpose of processing the transaction, or communicating with the member about the status of a transaction. 

We treat member information as private and confidential, and we do not disclose your data to third parties.  Additionally, we will not distribute customer information to be used in mailing lists and surveys, other than for our own purpose.  We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our members’ personal data.

Should a member suspect any personal data has been disclosed and suspects the disclosure may have occurred through the Cooperative, it is essential the member immediately contact the Cooperative so aggressive action can take place to halt further disclosure and minimize, or if possible eliminate, any potential adverse effects of the disclosure.
