Shelbyville, KY — Shelby Energy Cooperative is saddened to announce the passing of Roger G. Taylor of Smithfield, Kentucky, a long-time member of the Cooperative’s Board of Directors representing Henry County.

Mr. Taylor served Shelby Energy with dedication and integrity for more than three decades, having joined the Board in 1991. During his tenure, he held the position of Secretary-Treasurer and played an important role in guiding the Cooperative through years of growth and change. His leadership reflected a deep commitment to the members he represented and to the cooperative principles Shelby Energy upholds.

Beyond his service to Shelby Energy, Mr. Taylor was a respected farmer, community leader, and advocate for agriculture and education in Henry County and throughout the region. His knowledge, steady counsel, and thoughtful approach will be greatly missed by fellow board members, employees, and the Cooperative’s membership.

Shelby Energy extends its sincere condolences to the Taylor family and to all who were fortunate to work with and know Mr. Taylor. His legacy of service and commitment to the community will not be forgotten.
